The Fifth International Workshop on Knowledge Graph Construction, co-located with the 21st Extended Semantic Web Conference (ESWC), organized a challenge to evaluate the resource efficiency of existing Knowledge Graph Construction engines. Our tool, FlexRML, developed by Michael Freund from Fraunhofer IIS in cooperation with the Chair, won the performance track of the 2024 challenge, where overall materialization speed and memory consumption were evaluated.

FlexRML is a flexible and memory-efficient interpreter for the RDF Mapping Language (RML). RML is the de facto standard used to transform semi-structured data into the Resource Description Framework (RDF), which is used to build Knowledge Graphs.
